GIMC VACCINE EVENTS AT UNMGALLUP FOR THE WEEK OF May 24th

May 24, 2021 - The GIMC Gallup Service Unit will conduct the following vaccination event at UNMGallup to provide COVID-19 vaccinations for qualifying individuals:

Thursday, May 27th | UNMGallup
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
First and second doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine will be available for individuals, ages 12 years and older. Youth, ages 12 to 17 years, must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian or have written consent from a parent or legal guardian. The Janssen (Johnson and Johnson) vaccine, requires only one dose, will be also available for ages 18 years and older.

This event is open to all members of the community, , regardless of eligibility for other IHS services. Children, ages 12 and 17 years of old, must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian or have written consent from a parent or guardian.

COVID-19 vaccines are effective at protecting you from getting sick. Based on what we know about COVID-19 vaccines, people who have been fully vaccinated can start to do some things that they had stopped doing because of the pandemic.

All COVID-19 vaccinations are voluntary. Note: It is crucial for patients to complete both doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine for the best protection against COVID-19.

COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective. COVID-19 vaccines were evaluated in tens of thousands of participants in clinical trials. The vaccines met the Food and Drug Administration’s rigorous scientific standards for safety, effectiveness, and manufacturing quality.
